What happens when you love fashion, writing, and building a community? This. This happens.

Writing has always been my thing. I studied fashion journalism, then spent my early career writing for magazines and websites. When I realized I could write about the things I actually cared about — and build a community doing it — I started a blog right away. I had no idea that daily blogging, and the relationships I built through it, would end up changing the entire course of my life.

A few years in, a follower reached out to me on Twitter to say I'd be a great fit for an open role on her team. That message was the turning point, the moment a passion became a career.

Since then, I've spent over a decade building and running social media and influencer marketing programs for Fortune 500 companies, agencies, and startups.

Alongside that, I kept building AlixRose: partnering with brands, hosting events like the Seattle Style Summit and the Seattle Style Blogger Brunch, and Collective Sway, a business built around bringing people together.

Now, I'm entering a new chapter — both personally and creatively. As a single mom by choice, I've learned to navigate nap schedules alongside strategy decks, while rediscovering what style even means to me in this season of life. AlixRose is expanding right along with me: still rooted in style as self-expression, now also a space for identity, motherhood, and sharing how to build a life that actually feels like yours.

Collective Sway

The first Northwest community of creatives working to connect, collaborate and create amazing content together in real life. We built a loyal collective of like-minded creative influencers who specialize in blogging, photography, videography, podcasting, styling, graphic design, and more. We organized 12 events in 12 months, partnering with local businesses such as restaurants, Seattle Design Center, Float Seattle, Eleanor Apartments, PorkChop & Co., and more.

We grew our collective to 227 influencers and sold out every event.
