Vaccine Update: A week after my 2nd Pfizer shot

I can’t believe it’s already been a week.

After wishing, hoping and praying for a vaccine for so long, I finally got it.

The info: I got a the Pfizer shot at St. Anne’s hospital in Burien, Washington. The first shot I had a sore arm and no other symptoms. The second shot I took all necessary precautions. I stayed the night at my parents house just in case I came down with any of the reported symptoms. Thankfully, I only experienced some aches and exhaustion. My arm was super sore the next morning, but no other symptoms. I went home the next day.

The emotions: I was super emotional after the first shot. After the second shot, I was in a little bit of shock. I couldn’t believe that I was fully vaccinated. I would be able to hug my parents without any fear. I’m not planning to change my life a lot. I will still be wearing my mask and using hand sanitizer.

If you haven’t been vaccinated and check out your local hospital sites. They’re opening up more phases and locations.
