The Photoshoot that Pushed Me Out of the Box

I think I live outside the box, but then certain situations come along where I run back into the box as fast as I can. I tend to look for the box when I find myself in front of the camera. I know I know as a "fashion blogger" I should be comfortable in front of the camera, but it takes a little warming up. And it's different when you have a few cameras pointed at you. But I DO know that once I decide to walk out of the box I never regret it.

A few weeks ago we hosted a Collective SWAY event at Float Seattle. We had some amazing models from #TeamSWAY and even though I said I would model - I wanted to stay in my box. I haven't been to yoga in months and I just wasn't ready to be in a bathing suit. Thanks to my PIC, Crys Southcote for the push she gave me to find my way out of the box I was hiding in. I shook off my nervousness, got in the pod and just had fun creating.

These are the photos that came from it.

Collective SWAY has given me so many opportunities to break out of my cozy box. It pushes the way I see myself.

I am always amazed by the cool ways photographers take an image and make it come to life.

And if you're wondering about floating - I haven't done it yet. I'm excited to try it and I will tell you all about it soon.
